How HeatShield Products Fail - and How We Fix Them
- HeatShield Cerfractory Flue Sealant coating delamination on older tile liners. The sprayed cerfractory material bonds well to clean clay tile, but on liners that were already spalling or had hidden moisture in the joints, we see it lift in sheets within three to five years. We’ve opened more than a few Long Beach flues where the coating peeled back like old paint because the original tile underneath was never stabilized.
